My phone and car😒
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
@fun4us2b 😞 that is awful
fun4us2b · M
@LilPrincess I also have a weird recurring phone dream where I can't dial the number correctly....I keep trying to call for help but can't do it...it's weird...probably had 10 versions of this dream! What's it mean? 🤷🏻‍♂️
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Got rid of the telephone and the vehicle and that will end it
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
My car, I used to drive a pickup truck and at least once a month someone wanted to borrowit to move something.
@FreeSpirit1 That happened to my cousin with his friends and neighbors.
fun4us2b · M
@FreeSpirit1 That's a drag...hopefully they always took care and brought it back with full gas tank!
Anything of sentimental value
fun4us2b · M
@mindlessdrifter Yeah, that's rough - and best avoided. I lent my dad an autographed book and when they moved it was in a box that got wet - I was really upset about it - but couldn't say much as my mom was ill - and of course book was nothing in comparison....but here it is 20 years later and I still remember...
@fun4us2b Sorry that happened. I don't know what I would do if that were me
fun4us2b · M
@mindlessdrifter Thanks - not much to do - it was after all just a thing....
Eklipse · F
Time, affection, loyalty? Ive had enough of that abuse thank you 🙏
BnBSpringer09 · 26-30, F
Anything I care about. 🤣 Unless it is one of the few trusted people I'm very close to, I simply don't trust that A) it will be returned to me in the condition it was lent to them in, and in a timely manner, or B) returned at all. I've been down this road enough times that I'm extremely hesitant to lend anything out anymore.

i hate it when someone wants to borrow my tools
PatKirby · M
@billybob69

What do you say when they ask? I stop them in their tracks with, you guessed it, "I never get them back." Works every time.

Quality tools cost money.
fun4us2b · M
@billybob69 I didn't do a count, but Tools and Cars seem to be at the top of the list...
PatKirby · M
@fun4us2b

For sure tools. If they have the gall to persist asking I lend my tools made in China I still have. Then say you can keep it.
I would be uncomfortable letting someone borrow my phone or car.
fun4us2b · M
@Nadie And the car - I'd worry the whole time...even if it were someone I trusted....

My precious knives. People tend to misuse them and ruin there edge somehow.
WillaKissing · 56-60
Vehicle or tools, they have always come back broken and damaged.
fun4us2b · M
@WillaKissing That's discouraging...
My heart, My trust
fun4us2b · M
@sstronaut Good ones - don't want those broken...
SW-User
Money and clothes.
fun4us2b · M
@ElwoodBlues Especially favorites ! I take care of my stuff and I hate when it comes back and something is off.
It depends entirely upon the person. I have friends I who are clumsy, so anything easily damaged or lost like fishing equipment is a no. Then there are those who borrow, but tend not to return.
fun4us2b · M
@BizSuitStacy Yup, you have to be selective...
Musicman · 61-69, M
My car. I would absolutely never loan out the motorhome.
fun4us2b · M
@Musicman Darn, and i was gonna ask to drive it to Key West this weekend! 😂

I'm with you!
Musicman · 61-69, M
@fun4us2b Well......for you 😎

Here is a picture of us in Key West. Trust me, you don't want to know how much the water front site was per night. Lol!!! 😭😭😭

fun4us2b · M
@Musicman That is awesome and must have been terrific - worth every penny I'm sure!
bookerdana · M
I do lend money but its more a gift b/c they can repay,"when they can" including forever
fun4us2b · M
@bookerdana You're too kind....
bookerdana · M
@fun4us2b I've been there so..I pay it forward
Iwillwait · M
I never lend money, I give it.
I will not lend my passwords out.
fun4us2b · M
@Iwillwait You're too kind - agreed, passwords are a definite no...
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Anything I care about. I don't like lending my things.
Fluffybull · F
Books, DVDs, CDs. I'd never lend anyone my car!
fun4us2b · M
@Fluffybull That reminds me - we used to lend records and tapes to each other a lot in younger years...
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Labor

My skills and the physical use of my body.
Sevendays · M
My vehicles. I wouldn't lend shoes either.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
fun4us2b · M
@Jenny1234 That's an interesting one - I don't think I've ever borrowed or lent much, but thinking - maybe a jacket at one point?
BLP11520 · 61-69, M
RenFur · 70-79, M
fun4us2b · M
@RenFur Yup always a source of problems...
melissa001 · 51-55, F

I lend a lot of books to friends, but there are a few special ones that I don't like to lend.
Tools. I refuse to now. I just say i don't have a (whatever tool they need).
Ive had thousands of dollars of equipment flipping wrecked over the years .

Never again 😡
fun4us2b · M
@OogieBoogie Hi! Hope all ok - haven't seen you around lately...

Ugh that's lousy...I hope they at least replaced them!
@fun4us2b nope .
The thing is, you get tools back, and you'de think they'd be in tue condition you lent them right?
So its not till ypu go to use it ypu find it bent or clogged or something broken on them .

Cheeses me off 😡
My phone and clothing. The latter has especially gone badly. 🤨
fun4us2b · M
@bijouxbroussard that sounds awkward and hard to forget!
fun4us2b · M
@NativePortlander1970 Definitely a big one...
