It is more common than people think.
I know a couple of university students that work as escorts, and some others have only fan pages.

Interesting question - BUT, most of the men answering this post are feeding their own fantasies. They obviously wish it was "common", but in fact it's rare.

A European study from 2021 polled 4386 female students, and found 227 (5.2%) reported taking money for sex. That same year the University of Iowa looked at 4268 survey responses from over 27,000 US students, with between 2.1 % - 7% admitting that they provided some type of sexual services for compensation one or more times while enrolled. A far higher percentage (14%) reported that they had been raped or sexually assaulted.

Best current information estimates total number of sex workers in the general US population at aprox. 1.8 million, or 5.4%.

What that means is over 90% of college females and non-student women DONT offer sex for money. So it's really not an "emerging trend" anywhere except online threads like this one, where lonely guys imagine an easy supply of sexy young females ready to bed down with anyone who offers them lunch money 🫤

I tried it in college but there really wasn't Internet so I just stood on a corner with a sign that read "Looking for hot women between the ages of 18 and 30 to pay me for sex so I can afford college". I didn't even get a bit of interest. I had to resort to getting a job.

I suspect that in most places it is very rare. Sex work is a very small proportion of work anyway.

Strangely there are no numbers for the US.

I would be surprised if many students who expect to get a good degree, at leat in any STEM field, would be involved in sex work after all getting the degree itself is pretty hard work.

It's fairly common. I and a lot of my closest friends did it. It's really not a big deal these days
