Is there a problem with freezing meat? Or freezing cooked food to eat at a later date?

I'm wondering if this is a poor person thing or something.

I generally buy in bulk to save money since I need to budget, and it saves me time not having to shop for food daily or weekly.

Is this not normal?

Freezing meat is definitely normal. I don't typically freeze cooked meat but I believe it should be ok. I have read the main thing is don't refreeze cooked frozen meat once it has thawed out.

@Coralmist thank you. I tend to let a meal cool down and then freeze it. It doesn't happen often but it's not unheard of. Meat that I've just bought tends to go in the freezer and generally doesn't live in there beyond 2 months since I do monthly shops in bulk.
