Dora and I take turns in assembling outfits to wear to the bar
There are several kind of by laws in Barcelona which has, I am told, become a little more conservative than the rest of Spain 馃嚜馃嚫. After the Franco dictatorship of heightened Catholic sensibilities the country became more liberal and shocking, first by allowing toplessness on the beaches in the late Seventies. Then it became perfectly acceptable for people to walk around naked as long as they didn鈥檛 shock others, but this particular laxity Barcelona and its government have been tightening up. You can be arrested and cautioned for walking in areas away from the beach in swimwear.
Dora once came up with an idea (I think it was last June) for us to go to our favourite tapas bar wearing just what is called a body. These are like dancer鈥檚 leotards except that they fasten under the crotch. She got us both high leg neutral or skin tone colour elastane and cotton bodies which we wore to the bar with commando boots 馃ゾ. The shock value was great fun, despite the majority of users of the bar are Eastern European, there are some Catalans too, including the bar owner and family.
Obviously we had to be very careful about how we moved so as not to unpop the poppers which held the panty part of the garment in place. You had to double double check when you went to pee! There were some friends who wanted to unpop us so we were super alert about with whom we were sitting!
