Portishead had a few good ones.

So did Lucious Jackson, Sneaker Pimps, Republica, etc.

They just didn't keep getting promoted by the music industry for whatever reason.

I saw them live in bristol in the 90s....also a couple of dj sets at a great little club in wolverhampton called stumpjuice.
Finally...someone on sw with some musical taste...

They still sound amazing decades later.
