I feel like this is only a piece to get someone's business out there

I mean technically it's not degree free if you need a certificate and a certificate could mean a total of two to three years. Most of those positions require experience, as I've looked into it. This story is more like "29 year old made a video that went viral, capitalized on it and now makes money saying there's degree free jobs but will most likely charge a membership for a certificate for these degree free jobs." Ah when you can read between the lines it kind of sucks, wish I was still an optimist about careers.

Not really related to your point but it really blows my mind how many people don't get the angles of how to talk to people to make business or get a job through an interview.

People just recite all the tired strategies they saw on tiktok or youtube and think its something people haven't seen before. Then afterwards they wonder why they have a degree / skills and no job.

It's actually really not that hard to market yourself too. You just need to understand where the money is coming from and how people are making decisions about it.

But then again alot of people buy lottery tickets, think angels are real, and drive around thinking tailgating will help them get somewhere faster.
@SatanBurger Career is one of my favorite topics ever as you can see. I think about my career always. Multiple times a day.

@orioninthenight I should be clear that I think it's a good idea about the linked in stuff, I usually apply on indeed. But I don't have the skill set to get professional jobs either, I've been looking into going to school for medical coding. Not what I want to be but it's nice you can do virtual work OR in person. Good to have options. Then I kinda want to get into hacking, there's lots of free resources on hacking for sure so I could do that regardless. But I want to make it clear that I don't have the background needed for "linked in."

I can't just apply to data tech analyst without experience.
