Why just now?

Why are radicalized students flexing their muscles NOW?

Probably because most students left town days ago. It’s the end of the semester and most students leave school and leave town within minutes of their last class. The only students lingering are those waiting to go through graduation and … radicalized students who will have near an empty campus to flex their radicalized muscles and pretend that everyone agrees with their opinion. In reality, everyone else is gone.

It’s election year.

You have an important assumption here. That they are indeed radicalised. But you are repeating the word and trying to drive it home, right? Changing assumption into conclusion 😃

Define 'radicalised'.

Well, as some have mentioned, some may not be students. But I also think with the global condemnation if the WCK worker killing they saw an “in” that could bring sympathy to their cause.
Finals are this week and next week. Graduation is middle of May at most schools

@independentone the very last class day at UT was 2 days ago. So students have been departing since last week. I have close family who are college profs. They were done last week.

The American people are being played.
@Heartlander I know both University of Spoiled Children, (USC) and Underprivleged Children of L.A. (UCLA) are both still having classes as finals are next week.

@independentone That explains the pushback by non-radicalized students at UCLA. They were still on campus. Looking at the UCLA video now, there is a battle going on there. Check the schools and look at their academic calendars. The red flag went up when I saw the UT crowd, you would probably see more people there on a typical day that classes were in session.

Many schools have classes and final exams into mid-May, so your theory doesn’t hold water.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@RedBaron Not so. Most colleges are done. UT was done two days ago. Students have been leaving town since last week. I have family profs, they were done last week. Theonlyonesleft on campus now are radicalized students. Since graduations are now cancelled at many colleges the graduating students are gone now also.

@Heartlander UT is one school, not “most colleges.”

Brown University goes until May 17th.

Bucknell University goes until May 8th.

Clarkson University goes until May 11th.

Colgate University goes until May 17th.

Columbia University, where a lot of crap has happened, goes until May 10th.

Cornell University goes until May 18th.

Rutgers University goes until May 15th.

Syracuse University goes until May 7th.

UCLA goes until June 14th.

Yale University goes until May 8th.

Numerous specific examples of why it’s dumb to generalize based on limited information.
People always did oppose the USA, genocide, apartheid. Doesn't stop you.

It's Election Year here in the USA and Trump could win his lawsuits.
In case you haven't noticed, this isn't an end of the year fiasco, this has been going on since day one.
@Heartlander Exactly, mostly unreported to keep the masses in the dark about the severity of the protests and rioting.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@NativePortlander1970 or in fear of a pushback by other students.
@Heartlander Possibly, but students know more of what's happening in their academic communities even more than the administrators it seems.

@justanothername Hence the belief in Trump’s election lies.
