@BizSuitStacy Don’t play dumb. Of course there are undocumented immigrants, but they don’t cost us anywhere close to $451 billion per year. It’s really difficult to quantify how much undocumented immigrants cost us [i]because[/i] they’re undocumented. They’re unlikely to report all the services they use or the taxes they pay lest it should lead to their deportation, but that’s not even anywhere close to a reasonable estimate. Six years ago the Heritage Foundation, which lobbies for harsh treatment of undocumented migrants, couldn’t justify putting a price tag of more than $54 billion a year on it.
Anyway, if you’re mad about paying for illegal immigrants, then what you should have done is called your senators and congressman and told them to support the immigration bill that died in the House a couple months ago. It would have given us everything Republicans had been asking for on immigration for the last decade. I understand it even provided funding for your damn wall.
