If you're in a relationship and having a 'bad romance' do you fix it or part ways ?
I tried and died in my second relationship for our daughter's sake, but that turned out to be unworkable and the wrong decision so I left. She wanted to stay 'friends' but I was not having a bar of that after what she did.
I fucked up the first relationship so when she cheated on me I knew it was already over.
My third one, if you can call it that, ended after 6 months when she accused me of cheating (I wasn't) and I terminated it on the spot.
So LTR's x 2 and STR's x 1 all ended in disasters of different sorts. Single since mid-2018 (besides the STR in 2020 yes the Covid lockdowns started then too) and finding while I'd like a positive rewarding relationship I don't have the emotional space for one.
