I wonder about these teams that bring in European players at the end of their career.
Look at Inter Miami. It resembles the Barcelona retiree team with Messi, Suarez, Buskets and Alba.

I guess it is a final payday for the players and a huge amount of generated interest and income in respect of merchandise sales for the clubs.

If these players don't go to the MLS they are lining their pockets in the far east.

I genuinely think that it is about money more than football at this stage of their careers.
