Got my car back from the body shop. So now I'm 4 800 NOK poorer but at least the bumper doesn't look like it might fall off.

Went for a walk at the sculpture park before breakfast at IKEA because I started so early that IKEA wasn't open.

Thursday 2nd May 2024, today's outfit is a demure, almost knee length, light brown denim skirt and one of my favourite blouses, sheer tights, brown ankle boots.

The boots don't often get an outing because I don't wear them in the wet for fear of damaging them and in the summer I go barefoot most of the time.

It's still fairly cool early in the morning so I have a light silk zip up jacket too

@ninalanyon I’ve done a lot of traveling in my day, all over the world, I absolutely love it. You actually brought a smile to my face with your outfit because it reminds me of my safari in Africa. I’ve also been to China, Japan, Thailand, Mexico, Central America, many countries in Europe (including all the Scandinavian ones.) And a lot of the United States.

Unfortunately I was sidelined not too long ago with a compression fracture in my back. It’s pretty much healed now but I’m feeling uncertain about long plane and car rides. It’s a big question mark because I might be perfectly okay but if I’m not, I’d be in a lot of trouble, a lot of pain, and far from home.

Probably one reason I enjoy seeing you out and about. Vicarious living, but hopefully just for now. 🙂

@OlderSometimesWiser I hope you can get back to travelling without worrying about your back. Looks like you have already visited more countries, and more continents, than me though :-)

On the way home I dropped in on a couple of charity shops. In Asker ombruksbutikk I found these:

I suppose they might be meant to be some sort of Christmas tree. Anyway I thought they were so much fun that I just had to have them. Cost me a whole 10 NOK, (0.73 GBP, 0.91 USD)!

Forgot to mention that on the way to the body shop this morning I dropped some clothes at a charity collection box. While I was putting them on the tray I noticed a pair of platform heels there. Here we have a sort of informal sharing method. we put things on the tray but do not push it up to drop the items into the box. That way anyone can take the them.

This is what the boxes look like:

Anyway, the heels are marked size 40, I take a 42 but a size too small is good in heels because then they don't slip so easily.

I think they might be usable. I can always re-donate them if not. :-)

@turbineman40 The cafe opens at 10:00 and I had collected the car and finished charging by 09:00 so I had time to spare. So I've walked 10 000 steps today.

I took off my red nail varnish several days ago to let my nails recover. Now I've painted them black, badly :-)

A combination of lack of skill on my part and lack of quality in the varnish combined to produce a less than professional result. It's so thin I had to put several coats on.
