Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

I think how lucky I am to be married to my dreams and to have a great family. If that doesn't work, my beagle reminds me that it's time for a walk or belly rub or something,

Life in itself. The sun. The movement and sounds outside. Birds chirping. Motor sounds. The air conditioning. The water at the tap.
Usually there comes a moment I've had enough of my own bullshit and I look outwardly. And the song begins again, and the dance to the flow of Life...

Myself and my kids and pure stubbornness not to give in.

Knowing my family depends on me

Music, my pets, my kid

good food

Knowing it all usually passes and the life keeps on going regardless.

I can’t fail to carry on on purpose.
If I fail it won’t be through choice.

My kids and my stubbornness (sometimes it’s a good thing)

Music, all I have to do is listen to some good music and I feel rejuvenated. It really is good for the soul. 😎
