Happy Labor Day

This day is dedicated to recognising the contributions and achievements of workers worldwide and promoting workers' rights and opportunities. On May 1st, 1886, labour unions in the United States initiated a strike advocating for an eight-hour workday, a pivotal moment in labour history.

However, while most of Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas have a holiday on 1 May, the United States is one of the few countries that doesn't celebrate this holiday to recognize the workers.

The United States celebrates Labor Day in September, not May.

Moving the holiday to 1 May to coincide with the international celebration became a toxic idea during the Cold War and the holiday's association with Communism.

Most countries seek wealth and prosperity off the backs of their labour market.
Yet few even want to acknowledge that for a fact.
They'd rather 'praise' those at the top they credit with the companies/country's wealth creation.

That鈥檚 also the spirit of the American holiday in September.

Neither date is right or wrong or better than the other.
