I don't understand the point of "staff meetings." Information that everyone already knows is reviewed...

The manager talks; no one listens and then she tells a joke that isn't funny, but everyone laughs to be polite. And, the girl who acts like she's on a fast track (who is flat-chested) brings up some idea on how everyone else (but her) can be more efficient in their jobs. And, everyone (except for me) politely nods their head and reluctantly offers a smile.

Meeting over. Rinse and repeat.

Just because you don't agree with the point of the staff meeting doesn't mean that it isn't important.

Problems come in went local agencies or upper level management require such meetings.

They likely have a point that many just do not agree with.

The person who you stay is on the fast track, there's a reason why they are. What that person looks like or even their gender is irrelevant when concerning the meeting.

The meeting was intended to learn or refresh what you have already learned. And perhaps ask other pertinent questions.

Now there is comes into play the question your fast track person asked. Was it relevant?

I don't think so. Your supervisor already knows who the slackers are.

Bring it down from the inside. Get a dozen questions ready to drag this thing out as long as possible
