Bureaucracy at it's finest 馃ゲ

I got an inspection to update the energy label of my apartment today and pointed out there's a lot of draught because the window frames are cracked.

"Sadly that's not part of the calculation. Only the windows themselves count. Even if a window is broken, we have to state what kind used to be there because residents have a right to have that put back in. I've been in homes where the landlord refused to do that, so they've had a 6 ft虏 hole in their walls for months, but it still counts as being insulated with triple glass."

If homes are energy efficient on paper, that's enough to win the climate battle, right? 馃ぁ

Perfectly sound logic at it's finest... you don't need that wall to keep your heat in anyway!!!

@HootyTheNightOwl when the climate heats up enough, you'll want the window open all year long anyway. The problem will solve itself. 馃憤
