Oh the search was so long and painful, especially since everyone had to agree. And then early on, we even had to rent the VCR because we didn't own one yet. Be Kind, Rewind!

@Musicman What? No way. I mean, by the time we got one they were around $100. You must not have waited until there was competition in the market. My grandpa went all in on Beta, but they lost out to VHS.

@come2gether We definitely got ours towards the beginning. They steadily dropped in price after that. The model I really wanted was $1100, but I just wasn't willing to go that high. I also had one of those Mitsubishi 50" rear projection TV's too. It was sweet! 😎

@come2gether Yes they were. The TV set me back $3500. I cried for a month over that one, but I definitely enjoyed watching it. Lol!!! 😂
